DECLARATION OF SNOW EMERGENCY

 

The City of Marshall, Calhoun County, has declared a Snow Emergency Effective Friday, March 3, 2023 at 4:00pm through Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 12:00 p.m.

 

By ordinance, during a declared snow removal emergency parking is prohibited on all City streets. Under Sec. 70.008(H) of the City of Marshall Code of Ordinances, any vehicle that is parked in violation is subject to being issued a citation with a fine and towed with all expense from the towing charged to the vehicle owner. The City requests that all residents who park overnight in city lots park in the designated overnight parking spots so that snow clearing can be completed efficiently.

                                MCO 70.008 (F)(1) If a snow or ice emergency exists, the City Manager, or his or her designee*, is authorized to prohibit the parking or standing of a motor vehicle on a public street or highway for the duration of the emergency.
