PUBLIC NOTICE
CITY OF MARSHALL BRUSH PICKUP
Monday, April 5, 2021
Residents wishing to participate in this clean-up will need to have their brush curbside by 7:00 a.m. on the above date. The City will be using two crews and they WILL ONLY BE MAKING ONE ROUND.
Limbs and brush must be less than four inches in diameter and a maximum of six feet long. Stack brush so the larger ends are all facing the same way. Do NOT use plastic bags – only brown biodegradable bags are acceptable.
Note: Any materials placed out after the crew has cleaned the street will be the property owner’s responsibility.
No leaves, grass clippings, stumps, roots or limbs exceeding the size limits, building lumber, landscape timbers or garbage will be picked up. If these items are mixed in with the brush, the entire stack will NOT be removed.
Staff is asking residents not to rake any debris into the street. During a rain storm, the debris will clog the storm grates and storm drains restricting the water flow and cause the streets to flood. Keeping the debris out of the street will help in keeping maintenance costs down. The street sweeper can’t pick up the piles of leaves. Your cooperation is appreciated.
If you have any questions please call Phil Smith, DPW Superintendent at 269-558-0324.
