The Marshall House is a small, friendly community with 96 one-bedroom apartments and four two-bedroom apartments. Of the 100 apartments, 11 are designed for those who need the features of an accessible unit. Each unit features a stove, refrigerator, living-dining area, kitchen, bedroom, bath and large walk-in storage closet.

Marshall House Apartments offers laundry rooms on every floor. The "Activity Room" includes three computers, books and a lounge with a TV.  Exercise equipment is also available in the fourth floor laundry room for residents who would like to stay physically fit. A beauty salon is located on the third floor for resident's convenience. Licensed beauticians are here twice a week, and residents pay a nominal fee for their services. We have a large meeting room where the residents enjoy bingo, pot luck suppers, birthday parties, popcorn and movies on the big screen TV and various other activities throughout the month. The Marshall House meeting room is used three days a week as a congregate meal site. The meeting room is also available to residents for family gatherings by contacting the office in advance. Dial-A-Ride, Marshall's public transportation system, picks up residents at the front door. Residents are charged a nominal fee to make it easy to get around town.

For residents who enjoy the outdoors, there are picnic tables, grills, benches, swings and sidewalks that wind throughout the lovely landscaped yard by beautiful Rice Creek.

Resident security is an important part of our environment. ONLY RESIDENTS have keys to access the building. Relatives of residents are never to use the "flat" entry key under any circumstances. RESIDENTS ARE NOT TO OPEN the lobby door or let anyone (not here to visit them) enter the Marshall House building. When visitors have a scheduled appointment or drop by for a visit, they must use the telephone in the lobby. Visitors must pick up the phone, dial the pound sign (#), and then the three-digit code associated with the resident they are here to see. To reach office staff, visitors must dial #100.

According to HUD regulations, the Marshall House residents must be allowed to have pets. All residents will be given a copy of the Marshall House pet policy. Staff will be happy to answer any questions about it.
